Ovarian Cysts

Laparoscopic Surgery

Many women are found to have Ovarian cysts . Many cysts on the ovary are transient and are completely normal.

If an ovarian cyst is persistent, causes symptoms such as pain, or has changes in the cyst wall, it may need treatment.

If you are diagnosed as having an ovarian cyst, your OGB Gynaecologist will carefully assess the cyst with ultrasound, and provide a treatment plan for you. Treatment of ovarian cysts may include surgery, but the younger a woman is, the less likely it is that she will need to have surgery to treat her cyst. This is because most cysts in young women are related to her menstrual cycle, and resolve on their own.
