Gynaecologist

Katrina graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2003 with honours. She elected to spend her intern year (2004) in Ballarat where she developed close ties with the medical and broader community. After a brief sojourn to work in Ireland, Katrina returned to commence her specialist obstetric and gynaecology training at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne. In 2011 she joined Russell and Michael as a senior registrar and completed specialist training the following year. Her interest in fertility lead Katrina to undertaken a Masters in Reproductive Medicine through the University of NSW which she completed in 2018.


As a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, Katrina has an interest in infertility, advanced laparoscopic surgery and menstrual irregularities. She is passionate about women’s health and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. In addition to her private practice, Katrina has a public appointment at the Ballarat Base Hospital, provides visiting services at Ararat and Maryborough hospitals and tutors medical students for Deakin University.


Katrina lives in Ballarat with her family and enjoys bush walking and horse riding in her spare time. She finds caring for regional women and couples brings her great joy and satisfaction.
